This ride is probably one of the most adventurous rides from the Motoscapes collection. It takes you through some of the most picturesque and unexplored regions of upper Kashmir. It includes a day of riding which a rider is guaranteed to remember for a lifetime which takes you along the Line of Control. It then connects you to Ladakh and allows you to explore some of the most fascinating terrain and trails of this region. This is essentially a Srinagar to Leh ride like it’s never been done before leaving out the main highway for the most part.
Post breakfast, we depart from Srinagar headed towards Dawar. On the way, we stop by the famous Wular lake – Asia’s largest freshwater lake. Then ride on up to Razdan Pass and visit the shrine of Peer Baba. We then carry on down Razdan pass and finally enter Gurez Valley. Then ride on and check-in to the Dawar accommodation – basic yet comfortable and clean. Unwind at the local cafe and retire for the night.

Post breakfast, we depart Dawar and ride deeper into Gurez Valley. Our first stop is the Habba Khatoon spring from where we also get a good look of the Habba Khatoon peak. Today we explore the ancient village of Angaikot that will transport you back in time. We also visit the fascinating Chakwali area. We eat a packed lunch en-route whilst exploring some off-road tracks and then head back to Dawar to settle back in for the evening.
Post breakfast, we depart from Dawar headed towards Kargil going deeper into the Valley. This ride will surely be etched in your memory for a lifetime. It takes you deep through this valley with some of the most spectacular vistas along the way. Stop en-route for a packed lunch and then continue on to Dah.
160 kms / Saddle time – 6 hours
Post breakfast, we depart Dah and ride a trail along the Indus River til our lunch stop point. After a leisurely lunch, we head back towards Dah with spectacular scenery to behold.
Post breakfast, depart from Dah towards the final destination – Leh. En-route stop for a local lunch. Also stop to see the famous confluence of the Zanskar river coming in from the Zanskar Valley and the Indus River. Continue on to Leh and settle in for the evening.
