BACKCOUNTRY OF RAJASTHAN

Rajasthan is a state with some of the best roads in the country along with a rich and diverse history and culture. The food, the forests, the old forts and palaces all combine to give a traveller an unmatched experience.

This motorcycle tour has been specially put together for those who would like to experience all that this state has to offer on two wheels; undoubtedly, the best way to do it. Explore a section of this state with quite a few backcountry and unexplored roads. At some points, we go off-road and do some exciting adventurous trails as well.

ITINERARY

Flag off from Gurgaon on NH-8 and move into the inner roads leading to the historic Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Stop en route at a 12th century traditional palace for lunch. Post lunch continue on to the interiors of Shekhawati and finally arrive at the Tree of Life Inderpura Resort which used to be a camping site for the Mughals during their rule.

Post breakfast depart from Udaipurwati heading towards Pushkar. A quick tea and snacks stop en route to keep us going until we reach Pushkar for lunch. Afternoon and evening at leisure to explore this fascinating town, it’s lake and it’s unique temples.

Post breakfast departure from Pushkar headed towards Ghanerao. We are now heading into the interiors of Rajasthan. Lunch stop on the way at Deogarh ‘Pit-Stop’ – a swanky American style diner. Ghanerao is a fascinating forest location with a relatively dense leopard population. Spend the night in a heritage forest lodge which used to be a hunting camp of the Royals.

Post breakfast depart from Ghanerao headed towards Udaipur via Kumbalgarh. Kumblgarh is famous for it’s wildlife sanctuary and it’s magnificent unconquered fort. We will take a back trail cutting through the forest and then finally reach Udaipur.

Depart from Udaipur and take inner roads heading towards Talab Gaon. En-route stop for lunch at Bundi which was a former princely state of the Rajputana agency. post the second half of the ride, check in to a 150 year old restored fort in the lap of nature.

It’s time for the final ride. Depart post breakfast and enjoy a lavish farewell lunch at a 19th century palace at
Tijara before our final approach to Gurgaon.
